Simple Church CRM Overview

The Simple Church CRM backend integration allows you to sync public events, small groups and members from your Simple Church CRM account to the Events, Small Groups and Members modules in the CMS. Only specific fields will sync over to the CMS, so please check out the info below for more details.

With this integration, your Simple Church CRM data will re-sync to the CMS every 15 minutes.

Simple Church CRM includes the following brands: e360 ChMS, Elexio Community, FellowshipOne Go, ShelbyNext ChMS and Simple Church.

Setup

You can either follow the steps below to link your account to the CMS or contact your project manager for assistance.

Go to Admin > Site > "More Menu" link at the top right > "Integrations" tab in the sidebar

Login Credentials

Under the section labeled with the brand name for your Simple Church CRM account, fill in the "username," "password" and "subdomain" fields with your Simple Church CRM login credentials.

  • Subdomain: only enter your account's subdomain, do not include the domain for your Simple Church CRM account. For example, if the link you use to login to your account looked like this: https://yourchurch.shelbynextchms.com/, you would put "yourchurch" in the subdomain field.

The credentials you set up will need to have full admin privileges and we recommend setting up a generic login (like Username Website CMS or Integration). If you use a personal login and someone changes their password down the line — the integration will break.

Once the integration is connected, you will see additional options for the Events and Groups modules.

Events:

  • Include categories in event sync
  • Calendar view

Groups:

  • Include categories in small group sync
  • Group views

Events Integration

Your public events will pull into the CMS under Events > Events. When an event is synced, you will see this info stated at the top of the settings screen for the specific event:

This event is synced with E360 ChMS!

The fields synced with E360 ChMS have been made read-only below. They can be edited in E360 ChMS, and the changes will appear here on the next sync.

Notes

Categories Sync:

  • Include categories in event sync — when selecting this option, you can choose to sync your Simple Church CRM categories. This will pull into the Events module as your category list.

Calendar View:

  • If selected, only events that appear in this calendar view will be synced. Otherwise, all events will be synced.

Additional notes:

  • Recurring events are supported.
  • Events are only synced one year into the future, in order to keep syncing quick and stable.
  • The "Published as Featured" status needs to be manually added to events in the CMS.

The fields that are synced will show greyed out in the events module and cannot be edited in the CMS, since the data is pulling from Simple Church CRM (see image below).
