Section Monklets

Overview

Monklets are predefined code snippets that allow you to bring in other module content (sermons, events, etc.) into your pages.

You can use a monklet inside a section by placing your cursor in the content area, selecting Insert > Insert Monklet > "Desired Monklet".

Some monklets allow/require inline parameters to be passed to define items from a specific group, category, etc.  http://help.monkcms.com/article/using-monklets/ and https://help.ekklesia360.com/article/using-inline-parameters/ provides details on using these parameters.

Module Images: Unless noted otherwise in this guide most module (sermons, events, etc.) images should be 1,024px wide by 576px tall. Please note that there are areas on the site that use a square image or a non 16:9 display from the modules (eg. the section monklet for the latest sermon). In these instances the 16:9 image from the module is used and centered to cover the area. This means that if you have text layered in the image it should be as centered as possible to prevent text from getting cut off.

Note - Monklets defined with "Section Monklet" in the title can be inserted in the content area of a section used in a full width section.  Monklets defined with "Sidebar Monklet" in the title can be inserted in the content area of a section used in the sidebar.

Section Monklet - Schedule Tabs

Displays tabbed content from the Link List module.  The find inline parameter is required.

Each first level link entry is the tab and displays as the tab title.

Each first level link can contain second level links that display as the "scheduled" content for each parent tab.  Each second level link uses the Description field for the colored tag content and the name for the heading content.  If the URL is used the schedule field becomes a link.

This monklet displays a row of banners from a link list (Content > Link Lists > Visit Links), and each link within the list represents a column. The description field of the link displays in the column area and the url and name are used to populate the button.

Within the monklet, the "find" parameter is used to specify which link list to use: {{section-monklet-visit-links|find="visit-links"}}

Note: The description field of the link list will display as paragraph text.  If you would like to have a full html section content for a specific column, you can do so by creating a section with the desired content.  Once created you will place the slug of the section in the corresponding link description field with curly braces.   If you create a section labeled "Column 1 Section" the link description field should contain the slug as {{column-1-section}}.  Within the description field of the link list items is the slug version of the cooresponding section title, so that the content for the column pulls from a section as opposed to directly in the description field.
