Section Monklets

Overview

Monklets are predefined code snippets that allow you to bring in other module content (sermons, events, etc.) into your pages.  There are a few monklets that have been created that are placed in the content area of your full width sections.

You can use a monklet inside a section by placing your cursor in the content area, selecting Insert > Insert Monklet > "Desired Monklet".

Some monklets allow inline parameters to be passed to define items from a specific group, category, etc.

NOTE - Monklets defined with "Section Monklet" in the title can be inserted in the page content area or the content area of a section.

Section Monklet Options

These monklets can be used with your fullwidth sections on both the Subpage Default and Subpage Fullwidth templates.

Uses a link list to display a row of icon links.  First you will create a link list and assign a name, link and and icon class. Once the link list is created you will go to the section, insert the monklet and use the find inline parameter.

A full list of available icons can be found at  http://mk037.monkpreview.com/_assets/fonts/icons/ (use your domain when your site goes live).

Displays the four most recent sermons, but is offset by 1.  You can use the find_group and find_category inline parameters as needed.

Note - The offset by one is designed so you can use this monklet below the single featured sermon monklet above.  There is also another monklet labeled "Section Monklet - Featured Sermons" that does not offset if needed.

Section Monklet - Latest Articles

Displays the 4 most recent articles.  You can use the find_group and find_category inline parameters as needed.

NOTE - Selecting from the bottom row of articles populates the top featured article area.

Displays the 12 most recent events.  You can use the find_group and find_category inline parameters as needed.

Note - If output is less than 4, these will show as a normal row (no prev/next options).

Section Monklet - Latest Posts

Displays the 4 most recent blog posts.  You must use the name inline parameter to define which blog to pull from.

Note - Selecting from the bottom row of posts populates the top featured post area.
