Monklets are predefined code snippets that allow you to bring in other module content (sermons, events, etc.) into your pages.  There are a few Sidebar Monklets that come with your theme and inserted into the content editor of some Sidebar Sections. These Sidebar Sections can be assigned to as many pages as you would like.

You can use a monklet inside a section by placing your cursor in the content area, selecting Insert > Insert Monklet > "Desired Monklet". See the screenshot below

Some monklets allow the use of inline parameters to define items from a specific group, category, etc. An example of this is using an inline parameter to display only Youth events on a Youth Group page. Sidebar Monklet - Upcoming Events

The Upcoming Events sidebar monklet will display the 3 most recent published events.  The find_category of find_group inline parameter can be used as needed.

Sidebar Monklet - Latest Sermon

The Latest Sermon sidebar monklet displays the most recent sermon.  If a filed is left blank when creating the sermon, the monklet will not display that line. Example: If a sermon is not assigned to a Series, that line will go away and the Category line will be bumped up so there is no blank space.

The find_category of find_group inline parameter can be used as needed.

Sidebar Monklet - Recent Posts

The Recent Posts sidebar monklet displays the two most recent blog posts. You must use the name inline parameter to define which blog to pull from.

Example: name="blog-name"

Sidebar Monklet - Recent Articles

The Recent Articles sidebar monklet displays the two most recent articles. The find_category of find_group inline parameter can be used as needed.
