Sermons Template

Overview

Sermons Template #5 was specially designed to showcase your current and past Sermon Series. This page displays the latest Sermons Series at the top, and includes a 'Filter By' bar allowing viewers to filter sermons by Series, Category, Month and Speaker. Below that it then displays all of the past sermon series in reverse chrolological order.

To utilize this Sermon Template, you will first need to make sure that you have a page in the Pages Module (CONTENT > Pages) that has this template assigned to it. See the screenshot below for how to assign a template to a page:

To make changes, navigate to CONTENT > SERMONS

Overview

To create a new sermon select ADD A NEW SERMON. 

  1. Detail: This is where you choose a title, categories, series, key passage, date, and preacher. This will sort the sermon into the right places and automatically show the passage.
  2. Content: Step two you will add a summary, keywords, and then the actual content of the sermon. 
  3. Add Media: This is wehre you will be able to add audio, video, an image, or notes on your sermon. You can also embed a youtube video using the EMBED CODE tab. Using external link will only create a link to that page, not embed the video on the site. 
  4. Publish gives you the option to post just to certain groups or the site (site group), and then also allows you to publish at a certain date and time.

Managing Sermon Series

Sermon series can be given a summary and you can upload a photo for the series.

All Sermon & Series Images should be 1,400 pixels wide by 788 pixels high

Sermon Detail Page

Each sermon has its' own detail page where the summary and media file links are located. You can add a custom header image as needed for the detail page by uploading an image into the "Header Image" field. If the field is not used, the site default header image will be used.
